About Councilmember Hytopoulos

Over the 22 years she has lived, worked and raised her three children on Bainbridge Island, Kirsten has served the community in many roles including collaborative attorney, mediator, citizen activist, city councilperson and mayor.

Kirsten is currently serving a third term on the City Council, having previously served from 2010-2013, representing the South Ward, and again in 2019-2023, in her current at-large position. During her first term, Kirsten was selected by the council as the city’s second council elected mayor under the then new Council-Manager form of government.

While Kirsten does not currently hold regularly scheduled office hours, she is available to meet with Island residents by appointment through the phone number and email address above.
