The State's Clean Energy Transformation Act (CETA) requires all utilities to eliminate coal from their fuel mix by the end of 2025, carbon-neutral by 2030, and free of fossil fuels by 2045.

City of Bainbridge Island Powered by 100% Renewable Energy
In 2022, City Council passed Resolution 2022-15 authorizing the City to participate in PSE's Green Power Program to purchase 100% renewable energy for all of the City's electricity.
