Wing Point Way Non-Motorized Improvements

Project Description

The Wing Point Way Non-Motorized Improvements project provides for reconstruction of roadway surfacing, storm-water drainage, and water and sewer line improvements. Pedestrian and cyclist improvements include the addition of uphill climbing lanes and a sidewalk on the north side. The extent of the work on Wing Point Way is approximately 3,300 feet from Ferncliff Avenue to Park Avenue.

Project Status

Construction Phase

The Contractor mobilized in January 2016. Residents should expect traffic delays and possible road closures and / or detours as construction progresses.

Tentative Schedule

  • Water main construction: Complete
  • Sidewalk construction: June 16th through June 26th
  • Paving: 1st Course June 15th to 2nd Course: June 27th and June 28th
  • Construction Completion: Early July

 In 2013, the City was awarded Federal Highway Administration Funds (STP-U) for construction in the amount of $1,303,000.
